For some narrow-minded people, the war between ski and snowboards is still on. In Crystal team mind, this so called “war” ended a long time ago, you know during the past century. Once again, everybody, skier and snowboarder, is welcome at Shijinglong Crystal snowpark, and we proved it by organizing, in collaboration with Head ski and Champion sports shops, the China first ever skier cross contest, on Saturday 26th of January 08. For security reasons and as it was the first edition, riders decided to compete 2 by 2. 32 riders entered this contest and therefore made history by showing that they can also enjoy a snowpark with a pair of ski. The weather and the snow condition were perfect and so we can also thanks Mother Nature for this great gift. We divided riders in 2 categories, intermediate and advanced, in order to give fun to everybody. During the advanced riders’ final, Dong Hua crossed the final line before Kong Long and so won the China first ever skier cross contest. As this event was a great success, we already planned to organize the second edition, next winter season.
