Saturday 01/12/2008 Crystal entertainment organized the third Shijinglong Crystal Boardercross contest. This event started with a bad news when we found out that the distributor of Flow and Demon in China was not reliable and lied to us. So we gave up our collaboration with these brands but we kept positive as we don’t forget our main goal: share our passion and promote snowboarding in China.
60 riders participated to this Boardercross contest, and so confirm us that Crystal Entertainment is on a good way: Boardercross is really the best feature to attract a lot of riders to snowparks. Erin, from US, winner last year, lost his crown during the semi final, and Chinese riders took the first four places, showing that the level of riders in China is increasing really fast. During the men final, Li Xian Yi took the first place, Zhang Wei the second place and Huang Chao was the third. Concerning women, Mary Dennis from US took the first place and showed us that she got a real snowboard spirit when we waited for her for the award ceremony while she was riding the park. Zhu zhu took the second place and Cheng Zeng Yue, who already injured herself during the semi final, was the third.
Crystal also set an inter-club contest during this event. Dan Ban Di Dai snowboard club took the first place, thanks to 3 riders in the eight first men, and therefore got the title of fastest Beijing snowboard club.
During the whole contest, Ben and Xiao Mo from BJPZ graphiti crew showed us their skills by painting the boxes and made the snowpark even better looking.
